Welcome to the MetaBash page!

Metastatic Breast Cancer is when Breast Cancer cells travel to other parts of the body like the lungs, liver, bones or brain. It’s incurable and terminal. All other stages of Breast Cancer can be cured with chemo, surgery and/or radiation. The life expectancy of MBC is only 2-3 years because there aren’t enough treatment options. Stage IV needs more, which is why I fundraise. I chose Metavivor because 100% of your donation goes straight to a grant for research- no salaries, no admin fees, no BS.

Over the last few years, Metabash has raised over $200,000 for Metastatic Breast Cancer thanks to the support of so many generous and passionate people. 2019 was the last in- person MetaBash event we had (see video below). Since then, we’ve done some smaller virtual events and we plan to keep going. Our goal is to raise $50,000 annually so we can fund a research grant (see our past grants here).

Raising funds for research will help develop new treatments and hopefully one day turn this fatal disease into a chronic one.

Stay tuned for our next event…

  • 1 in 8 will get Breast Cancer

  • Early stage Breast Cancer is curable through treatment and/or surgery

  • 30% with earlier stages have a re-occurrence and will become Stage IV

  • Stage IV is terminal as the cancer has spread to organs of the body

  • The average survival rate is only 2-3 years because cancer eventually outsmarts the medications

  • For more treatment options, we need more RESEARCH and that’s what MetaBash is all about…
